Honestly, this concept always confused me. How can you change the past? Until I read an article in the New Yorker about the psychologist that testified in Harvey Weinsteins Case, talking about her research on memory, and how it is widely constructed in our brains.
I am also reading a book on marriage and preventing divorce, this particular psychologist, talks about how when negativity builds up in a relationship, it colors and the past and we start to even change events in our minds that WERE positive to NEGATIVE. AH HA! A lightbulb went off for me. (yes I can be a slow learner) It's our beliefs and what we FOCUS on that can change how we view our history, present and future. By healing your emotions AND beliefs, you can put a positive slant on your past and honestly feel a lot better about it. No, you can't change some literal things that happened, but you might find a deeper meaning and learning from the not so great experiences you have had in your life, or the ones you think are unhealable, changeable. Contact me if you want to a book a private session, where we can target emotions, beliefs and more. -Stefanie #meditatetoheal #healyourbeliefs #neurosculpting #seeyourlifepositively
